“Geometric Abstraction” at Elizabeth James Gallery, London, UK | 2019

Exhibition at Elizabeth James Gallery (https://youtu.be/djR82Co8A9Y) from Tue, 10 Sep 2019, 19:00 – Mon, 23 Sep 2019, 16:00 BST. The exhibition, based on Geometric Abstraction", would showcase Five Artworks of mine.

Geometric abstraction is a form of abstract art based on the use of geometric forms sometimes, though not always, placed in non-illusionistic space and combined into non-objective (non-representational) compositions. Abstract art has also historically been likened to music in its ability to convey emotional or expressive feelings and ideas without reliance upon or reference to recognisable objective forms already existent in reality.

“Symphony of Colours” at Galerie Metanoia, Paris, France | 2019

The number five (5) known as Pancha in Sanskrit has a unique significance in various tenets of Indian Mythology. It is widely associated with various concepts of spirituality, aayurveda, astrology and subtle elements of nature.

Dipayan’s work here had been inspired by PanchaKosh: Annamai (Sheath of Nourishment), Praanamai (Sheath of Vitality), Manomai (Sheath of Emotions), Viggyaanamai (Sheath of Intellect) and Aanandamai (Sheath of Blissfulness), which are the five sheaths that the soul is covered with; collectively known as Pancha Kosh. He had expressed these deep inherent beliefs through bold colours and passionate brush strokes; while associating each of the kosh (sheath) with a mythological symbolism. He had deconstructed perspective with a tinge of cubist methods and overlaid it with wild impasto and textures.

The “exposition” in Paris was held under the aegis of Galerie Métanoïa and MarcHigonnet . The exposition was curated by Anita Tiwary and glittered with Marc Aubergier, Guy de MalingreGvantsa Lobjanidze, Cliette Enault, Barbara Rosé-JoannyJacky Kooken and other esteemed guests of the Paris Art Fraternity.
